Don’t Mind If “I Do”

New Audiobook Review from Dana

Don’t Mind If “I Do”

By Everly Ashton

Narrated by Teddy Hamilton & Ava Erickson

It’s not every day the woman who broke your heart asks to be your wife.

Dr. Nick Ryan and Mazzy Pembrooke have been estranged for more than 10 years. When they each find themselves in unfortunate situations, they must put the past behind them and help each other. Not an easy task when there’s animosity and misplaced anger clouding everything. They just need to put up with each other for a little while until they’re out of the woods. But fate has other ideas.

This is a sweet, slow burn with a perfect ending. The writing style and storyline have you hooked from the start. There was enough going on in the story to make this fake marriage/marriage of convenience trope unique and entertaining. Nick seems like a grouchy guy at first, but when Mazzy is ill, you quickly see his caring hero side come out. Mazzy is such a lovable character. So down to earth with a heart of gold. I loved the character development in this book. The chemistry didn’t feel forced. They are both witty, smart, vulnerable, and kind. They were a breath of fresh air, and I thoroughly enjoyed being on this journey with them.

Teddy Hamilton and Eva Erickson were brilliant and perfectly cast for their roles. Their timing, pitch, pace, and tones were exemplary. Their character portrayals were spot on, and their narration styles meshed perfectly together. They are both so expressive and invested in their roles. This was a fun and unique story, and they both excelled at bringing it to life. I thoroughly recommend the audiobook version of this book.
