This book was moving and heartbreaking but not in the traditional Corinne Michaels way.
Both Addison and Grady are still grieving the devastating losses of their spouses. Addison moved across the country to escape the ghost of her husband after his death. Grady had to give up his military career to care for his young son after the death of his wife. Both are doing everything they can to survive and heal.
When a chance encounter strikes up a friendship, things get interesting. What started out as a fake relationship (one as a date for a wedding, the other a business deal) turned into something absolutely beautiful.
5 amazing stars. I will say I’m an avid fan of Corinne Michaels. To say I was waiting for the heart break to come, but quickly realized the heartbreak was the beginning of this book. To read about each character’s fear for loving again was realistic. The growth they both went through without really realizing it was awe-inspiring. The end was absolutely beautiful. What an amazing read!
