K.L. Shandwick just keeps getting better and better. Until Korry is the best yet! I was hooked in from the beginning and couldn’t put it down. I’m a sucker for a friends-to-lovers trope and this book delivered that and more. After years apart, Korry and Briar’s friendship isn’t as strong as it used to be. It was time they rekindled that relationship and talked about the pact they made together years ago. Whether one of them is engaged or not. Who better to help Korry with this quest than the band’s PA, Bernadette. Que the drama, shenanigans, funny banter, and unpredictable HEA. The MC’s story is so fun, romantic, and sweet. This story was emotional and heartfelt. I feel like the author gave us a more impassioned storyline and male MC. And I don’t just mean the smeggsy kind of passion. (Though that was amazing!) Korry is the most sensitive man in the Screaming Shadows. He’s affectionate, sentimental, kind, and loyal. I thought their connection was deeper and more intimate. It was real. Shandwicks’s characters are always well-developed and easy to connect with. This series has been amazing with strong characters and a chosen family. This is an absolute must read, especially for rockstar romance fans! Thank you to DS Promotions for gifting me this great book in exchange for an honest review.
