You have no idea how excited I was to find out there would be a part 2 to Keller and Lilly’s story. And then I was lucky enough to be gifted an ALC in exchange for an honest review. (SCREAMING) First off, Meghan just keeps getting naughtier and dirtier, and I’m 1000000% here for it. Keller is still a smeggsy, dirty grump. Except now that chiseled body contains a heart that beats only for Lilly. Lilly is still pushing Keller’s buttons. As aggravated as he may get with her shenanigans sometimes, I know he wouldn’t have it any other way. They’re a power couple. Lilly impressed me with her strength. It was great to see the more vulnerable side of Keller. Another fun, smeggsy, angsty, and heartfelt story from our romcom queen. God save the king and queen of Torskethorpe!

Samantha Brentmoor and John Hartley, with James Joseph, were cast perfectly for their roles. At the introduction to the audiobook, it’s announced that the narrator for the first book (Emma Wilder) wasn’t available, and that they hoped we find the transition as seamless as they did. Well, I think that almost sells Samantha Brentmoore short. She was phenomenal. Emma was fantastic in the first book. I don’t want to take anything away from her. But honestly, Samantha picked up like she was made to be Lilly. She was great at portraying our beloved quirky (and naughty) little vixen. I didn’t feel any less connected to Lilly or the storyline. And like the smooth transition of narrators, the narrators transitioned between characters flawlessly. The timing, pitch, pace, and tones were exemplary. The characterizations were impeccable. John Hartley stole my heart though. His portrayal of Keller is nothing short of magnificent. I love the uniqueness James brought to his role as well. The addition and different character voice added value to the audiobook production, in my opinion. This is an absolutely must-listen!
