I don’t even know how to review Meghan Quinn’s books anymore. Each book is as amazing if not more so than the last. The witty banter, text chains, hilarious emails, antics, and shenanigans are always top tier. The embarrassing antidotes that Everly comes up with for Hardy slayed me. The sheer joy she experiences when he inevitably embarrasses himself had me in laugh-tears. The slow burn and angst had me on the edge of my seat. I don’t even read synopses of her books anymore. I just apply for every ALC/ARC that I see and then purchase both the book and audiobook. I can’t help myself. And I know this book was about Hardy and Everly, but can we just talk about JP for a moment. Holy flamingos and GoFundMe emails, I cannot with this man. “Side with the pink!” I’m deceased. Thank you to the author for gifting me this amazing romcom in exchange for an honest review.
Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoore we beyond amazing in this (true) duet performance. They are both exemplary as narrators. Their timing, pitch, pace, and tones were perfect. Their characterizations were spot on. The comedic timing and delivery were fantastic. They truly brought this book to life. The ‘bad accents’ had me literally laughing out loud at my desk. As great as the book is on it’s own, this audio performance brings the story to 1,000,000 stars!
