(Adds Zoey Draven to list of favorite alien romances) This was my first book by Zoey Draven, but it definitely won’t be my last. This was such a fun and delicious story! I didn’t know vampire aliens was a thing before I listened to this audiobook. I’m so here for it. The Kylorr are smeggsy as heck, to say the least. Big, strong, powerful, bite-y, growly beastly aliens who want to knot you while making you submit to them. Umm, yes, please. Gemma Hara wants to do the right thing and go along with this arranged/forced marriage. But Azur is more than she bargained for. And likewise with Azur to Gemma. Gemma is just as strong-willed and determined as he is. She’s brave, with no selfish bones in her body. I love the push/pull between them. It adds to the angst. Their relationship developed slowly but surely. But don’t take that to mean this was a slow burn romance. Oh no. When I say this book is steamy, I mean it’s out of this world steamy. (Pun intended) They are a perfect match for each other. He might have gone into this marriage with hate in his heart, but soon enough Azur realizes there’s nothing he won’t do for Zoey. I can’t wait to see what the rest of this series has in store for me! I also want to note that I absolutely love the fact that the author commissioned an original cover for Desire in His Blood. 5 stars for originality and amazing artwork!

Marcio Catalano and Stella Hunter were cast perfectly for their roles. This was a true duet performance, and it was done brilliantly. The timing, pace, and tones were great. The characterizations were spot on. When I first started this audiobook, I was so-so about the story. But I kept going because the duet performance and exemplary narration was so incredible. I’m so glad I kept going and didn’t miss out on this amazing story. Their performance felt flawless. Zoey’s world-building and character-development was fantastic, and Marcio and Stella’s narrations reflected that in the most captivating way. An absolute must listen for sci-fi romance fans!
