New ARC Review from Angie
Cruel Pink (Drowning in Stars #3)
By Debra Anastasia
Taylor Boland has been in love with her best friends’ brother Austin Burathon for years. Austin is your typical young rocker who wears eyeliner and nail polish. He seems completely blind to Taylor’s feels. Living with a toxic boyfriend doesn’t help things either. The jerk actually refuses to leave when Austin does finally break it off with him. Taylor is having none of that. Her love is strong enough that she’d risk her own heart to save his. The slow burn and angst between Austin and Taylor was veritable. Austin’s backstory was heartbreaking and the root of who he is. Taylor didn’t have it easy either, which adds to the bound they share. I thoroughly enjoyed watching their journey as Taylor teaches Austin about self-worth and true love. They’re like yin and yang, bringing out the best in each other. This story had the perfect amount of angst, love, drama, and romance. Debra Anastasia gives us a story with great world-building and well-developed characters. It had depth and easily kept me enraptured. I highly recommend this book/series!
Thank you to Debra Anastasia for gifting me this book in exchange for an honest review.
