I am a sucker for dark fairytale retellings, so I had to jump on this one. I was on a cruise when I arc’ed this; just returned yesterday. When I tell you, I could not stop reading this. I’ve read/listened to a couple of dark versions of Peter Pan but nothing with smeggsy times in it, so this was a new experience for me. This book is insane in the best way. It’s twisted and devastatingly beautiful. Passionate, obsessive, and emotional. Evelyn Montgomery wrote a very unique and intriguing retelling of Peter Pan, and I couldn’t get enough of it. It was brilliantly written in different POV’s and switched between past and present. The storyline and writing style made this retelling really stand out and kept me captivated. I would absolutely read other books from this author!
