This is an honest review for an arc received.
Mary-Belle, orphan and child of the foster care system, knows disappointment and heartache. Thrust into a new home, Senior Year, she doesn’t expect to be taken by her guardians son.
“The world’s a confusing place, princess.” I reach for my door and open it. “Just as long as I’m both to you—I’m okay with the weirdness.”
Ambrose is surviving. He keeps secrets that could destroy everyone who’s importantly to him. Just wanting to live his life for himself, he doesn’t expect his beautiful “foster sister” he now has to consume his thoughts. But tragedy threatens to destroy everything.
“I’m your person, even if you hate me in the morning and love me in the evening. Even if for the rest of your life you want to murder me. You will always, always have someone or something. And that’s me.”
5 heart wrenching stars! Just wow! This book was everything! So many twists and turns, heartbreak, destruction, love and devotion. Your heart will break for Belle. You will fall in love with Ambrose (and Quinn), but it will take a hot second. RVDs banter and wittiness in back, and I’m here for it all.
Love? It isn’t perfect, which is the biggest temptation at all. It’s messy, chaotic, it hurts, and it makes you bleed over and over again. It’s the perfect sort of torture you never want to let slip through your fingers.
