This is my first book from Amy Boyles, and I was not disappointed. This story was very well-written, creative, and interesting. The characters are well-developed and likable. Pepper is such a cute character. She discovers she’s a witch and inherits a unique store in a secret magical town. What girl wouldn’t want that?!! Well, she’s not so sure she does because her store ends up being one for pet familiars and she hates animals! Next thing she knows she’s being accused of murder. If this is what a magical life means, Pepper is ready to give it up. This was such a cute and fun story. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Amy find her bearings in her magical new world. If you like cozy but fun mystery novels, this is an absolute must read. Thank you to the author for gifting me this interesting book in exchange for an honest review.
