The other half of Nola504Nerds is a huge Adriana Locke fan and told me I just HAD to read/listen-to her. Man am I glad she introduced me to this author! I am obsessed with Cane Alexander and Jada Stanley. I now understand the hype and am all in for it. Cane is very alpha but with a heart of gold. He truly cares about Jada and will stop at nothing to keep her protected and by his side. He knows exactly what he wants, and that’s Jada. It may seem like Jada is powerless to Cane’s charms, but the bottom line is she has Cane wrapped around her finger. The swoon moments were off the charts. The twists and turns Adriana gave me took this contemporary romance and brought it to another level. I loved every moment of this exciting ride.

Connor Crais and Samantha Brentmoor were perfectly cast for their roles. Their timing, pitch, pace, and tones were exemplary. Their characterizations were spot on. I love Connor’s portrayal of Cane. It was deep and edgy. And Samantha truly embodied Jada. They were both brilliant in how they captured all the emotions and portrayed the push and pull between the characters as well as the suspense elements. They truly brought this story to life. I highly recommend the audiobook version of The Exception. Thank you to the author for gifting me this audiobook in exchange for an honest review
