More With You is so well-written and captivating. I was surprised to learn this is only Erin Spencer’s second novel! Summer and Ben were well-developed and relatable. Their connection is real, as is their loyalty to each other. What they think is just a summer fling, easily turns into something more meaningful and endearing. But unfortunately, nothing in life comes easy, including true love. This story delivers all the feels from love and desire to heartbreak and sadness. Being a New Orleans girl, the setting helped me feel connected to the story. I love the imagery Erin portrays and how it connects to the couple and their journey together. I don’t want to give too much away. This is a story you need to experience for yourself.
This story was made for narrators Ava Erickson and Zachary Webber. Their timing, pitch, pace, and tone are exceptional. Their characterizations were spot on. Ava is exemplary in her ability to portray every emotion. She IS Summer. Zachary matched her perfectly. Together they deliver a stellar performance. It was clear they were connected to the story. Ava and Zach brought it to life and made the experience even more intense and enthralling. I highly recommend the audiobook version of More With You.
