New ARC Review from Dana
A Web of Lies
(Black Widow #3)
by Beena Khan
Once upon a December…
Gah, I’d been dying for Surge Romano’s book! Finally, Beena Khan gives it to me. And boy does she give it to me! Wow! I can always count on Beena Khan to deliver a story that is gripping, suspenseful, raw, and completely out of the box. Her stories and love interests are always original and intriguing. Surge and Anastasia are no different. This was a take on the Anastasia fairytale that I wouldn’t have ever expected. Anastasia is a bad-ass assassin, and I am all here for it. As the only non-blood Don of the five families, Surge is lethal in his own right. But I have to say, I think Anastasia outdid him when it comes to being ruthless and hard-core. Their connection is explosive. I especially love how Beena told their stories on how they came to be an assassin and a Don. This story and Surge and Anastasia’s connection were exceptionally unique and riveting. Beautifully dark, intense, and addictive. I was transfixed from start to finish.
Thank you to the author for gifting me this wild ride of a book in exchange for an honest review.
