I was going crazy waiting for the finale of this duet, and Angela Snyder did not disappoint. This was an incredible story with an epic and gloriously happy conclusion. It’s so well-written and flawlessly brings the characters to life. This second book has more development for Lucian and Adeline and their bond. Their connection becomes more intense, as does the steam. Their dynamic is so unique and all consuming. This story will reel you in from the start and keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. It’s gritty, raw, and enigmatic. I adore Jackson and his relationship with Lucian. I really hope he gets his own book at some point. Thank you to PFP for gifting me this epic duet in exchange for an honest review.

It wasn’t just the authors writing that brought the characters to life, it was also the narrators Auri Alden and Stephen Borne. What a fantastic team! The dual pov’s needed great dual narration, and these two exceeded all expectations. Their timing, pitch, pace, tones, and characterizations were flawless. This is a passionate and complex story, and the narrators were exceptional at portraying that and keeping you enthralled. I highly recommend the audio version of this duet. Listening to this story versus reading it enhanced my experience.
