Put Me In Detention solidifies why I keep referring my friends to Meghan Quinn’s books. In Meghan’s books we get humor, steamy scenes, humor, heartfelt emotions, witty banter, pranks, steamy scenes, humor, and a storyline with amazing characters you just can’t get enough of. Did I mention humor and steamy scenes? Coraline and Pike are so unique and entertaining. I mean, who gets drunk and married in Vegas during their divorce celebration? Coraline, of course! Pike’s wit, sense of humor, and smarts matches perfectly with Coraline’s feisty and quirky demeanor. Meghan’s seggsy times seem to get a little wilder and naughtier with every new book. Each seems to have a seggsy unique twist to it. In this one we get (looks around to make sure no one is listening) something that needs to be plugged in and jewelry worthy of a “prince”. (wink) Poor Coraline, her determination to be single stood no chance against Pike, the British motorcycle riding teacher with his alpha-male persistence and sexy charm. He can put me in detention any day! Meghan Quinn expertly portrayed the emotional connection between these characters while keeping me swooning and smiling. Put Me In Detention is a fun, seggsy, heart-warming experience you won’t want to miss!
“You have given yourself to me, which means I get all of you, the past, your thoughts, your baggage. I want all of it. No holding back.”
I’d like to take a moment now to mention how awesome Keiko is. I keep picturing her dad as a combination of Dr. Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds and Sheldon Cooper from Big Bang Theory. Her mom is a combo of Bernadette Rostenkowski and Amy Fowler from Big Bang Theory. And her friendship with Pike is absolutely endearing. If she wasn’t already with her HEA I’d be begging Meghan Quinn to write a book for her.
(Keiko crying) “A strange sensation has eclipsed my eyes. So, it seems my visual organs have begun misting.”
