What an amazing twist to the story of Adam and Eve. Salvi Moretti is an intense and dark character. I’ve been dying for his story! Mafia boss and villain, he’s cruel and cunning. Ehva Rossi has lived a privileged and sheltered life. She grew up attending Catholic school and went abroad for law school. When Ehva attends a Halloween Party in one of Salvi’s casinos, her then boyfriend gambles her away. She’s now owned by Salvi. Although Ehva is deeply religious and hates everything Salvi represents, she finds herself slowly falling for the devil. Salvi’s intensity quickly turns to possession and obsession with Ehva. Salvi is a very manipulative character. He slowly breaks down Ehva’s walls. The way he maneuvers his way into her heart was mesmerizing. Ehva is too sweet not to fall for the devil’s charm. I think she’ll end up surprising us and Salvi though. She’s stronger than she seems. In typical Beena Khan greatness, this is an extremely dark romance that ends on a major cliffhanger. I devoured this book. I can’t wait for book 2! Thank you to the author for gifting me this amazing book in exchange for an honest review.
