I’ve been guilty of going on an Audible shopping spree, leaving me with five times more audio books than time to listen, which in turns leaves me missing out on a great audiobook. This was one of those audiobooks. If you love sexy aliens, this book is for you! Evangeline Anderson created an exciting new world with various types of Kindred aliens. Her writing is so detailed and vivid. It wasn’t hard for me to get drawn into this new world. Olivia “Live” Waterhouse can be a bit annoying at times because she just won’t get outside her own head. She definitely gave Baird a run for his money during their claiming period. Baird, a Kindred Beast alien warrior, is straight up alpha male. He’s savage, dark, brooding, sexy, and intense. I thought the plot line and villains were well thought out and intriguing. This story was exciting, spicy, and erotic. I love the fun and humorous aspects to alien ways versus human ways. I thought Anne Johnstonbrown was great as a narrator, but her male voice needs work. I see that the narrator is changed to a man later in the series, so I’m excited to hear how he voices these broody alien males. I can’t wait to continue with this series!
