Molly Harper is one of my favorite authors, and Mystic Bayou is one of my favorite fictional places. Her series are like comfort books for me. Like wrapping yourself up in a warm blanket with a slice of chocolate rhubarb pie. Mystic Bayou is such a fun and quirky little town. As a New Orleans [area] born and raised girl, I appreciate this southern Louisiana town with its humble roots and family bonds. This was a light-hearted and funny listen. As always, Molly Harper and Audible Originals cast the perfect narrators. Mystic Bayou wouldn’t be the same without these two. The timing, pace, vocal characterizations, accents, and character distinction were exemplary. They are clearly emotionally connected to Mystic Bayou.
