This is an honest review for an arc received.

Davina Cohen’s life is in extreme danger. When she unexpectedly witnesses a gruesome crime, she too is left for dead. When a stranger reaches out and offers her safety she’s timid when accepting. However, once in Miami, she becomes somewhat of a hermit. When a gorgeous police officer helps her find her courage, she begins to fall. But tragedy strikes again, and this time the only way out is in.

Ilias Novak is a cop in Miami. Sometimes towing the ethical line, Ilias is determined to help his brothers any way possible. When given a unique and vague assignment Ilias is determined to find out the truth with the beautiful girl that is hiding deep, dark scars. But what happens when the only way to keep yourself and the woman you’re falling for out of danger is to step into the family business?

“The truth is, I don’t see an ounce of weakness inside of you. Just fear. And fear can get you killed with reckless games and decisions.”

4 1/2 dangerous stars. This book was action packed right from the get go. K. Dosal weaves a web of murder, intimidation, lies and deceit that will keep you guessing. The characters were great and the story line was very interesting. Great first book of the series.
