Smashed Steel (Steel Crew Book #7) by MJ Fields

This is an honest review for an arc received.

“Beside – or in this case, behind – every queen, a king should stand to remind her that she’s not alone.”

Ellis Stavros is getting ready to finish her doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. Ellis has had a rough life, but that has never stopped her from pursuing her dreams of a better life for herself. Attending a bachelorette party for her best friend Lily, she has an unexpected run in with the hottest guy she’s ever seen. With undeniable chemistry, she does something she never thought she would do. Have the most amazing night of her life with a stranger. But what happens when you get an amazing internship with an MLB team, and the first player you are assigned to happens to be your one night stand? Will all of your old insecurities keep you from the man of your dreams?

“I’ll listen to you talk forever, and I’ll do my best not to try to wreck each worry you throw at me.”

Amias Steel is sitting on top of the world. Just called up to his major league dream team, he decides to have one last night out with his old teammates. When he sees the beautiful “stand-in” bride, he knows he will stop at nothing to have her. Their one night together has him feeling things he never thought he would at his age. After a tragic event happens, Amias has to fight to get back everything he’s lost. Not one who shies away from hard work, he is determined to do whatever it takes. When he gets his second chance in the majors, he is assigned a Physical Therapist. When he sees Ellis again, he knows that this is fate and he will do everything to prove this point to her. But not everything is as it seems.

“I love us. I love you. The forever kind. Forever mine.”

5 base stealing stars!!! These guys get hotter and hotter. MJ Fields pulls at your heart strings with this book. Amias Steel will literally steal every piece of your heart. The way he is with Ellis, and shutting down all of her insecurities is swoon-worthy. All of my favorite Steel family members make an appearance. I couldn’t put this book down, it was just that good. I don’t know how MJ Fields does it, but these books keep topping each other, and I love every single minute of this amazing ride. There is so much more I want to say but that would give away all of the amazing parts in this story. #ForeverSteel.

It’s a sweet ache, the kind of ache caused by feeling something so good and realizing you’ve missed it your entire life.
