This is an honest review for an arc received.
“Take the hand outstretched when you’re weak and let it lend you strength.”
Jessica Walker has literally been through hell. She finds herself back in the small town of Willow Creek Valley, a place she’s done everything to escape. Her goal is to lay low and avoid the one person she’s always loved, Greyson Parkerson. When a chance encounter brings them face to face, old wounds are brought back to the surface. Is this fate’s way of giving you a second chance?
“Sometimes what’s missing when it comes to forgiveness is love.”
Greyson Parkerson seems to have everything together. He’s balancing work with family responsibilities. But he’s never forgotten the one girl who captured his heart when he was younger, even though he’s moved on with his life. So when he sees that she’s back in town, he can’t deny the pull she has on him and his heart. Will he be able to look past the old hurt that she inflicted on him?
“Love is a gift when given freely, but it can also be painful when taken back.”
This book is 5 out of this world stars! Corinne Michaels has a way of drawing you into every story. You become fully invested in each character, so much so, that you feel what they are feeling. Jessica’s struggles and perseverance are awe-inspiring. You can’t help but cheer for her when she hits milestones. Greyson is yet another swoon-worthy hot alpha man. You will fall in love with everything about him. But if you’ve ever read Corinne Michaels you know she loves to build you up, rip out your heart and then piece you back together, so be warned. I loved this book and devoured it in a day. If you thought you loved the Arrowood Brothers, the Parkerson clan is gonna give them a run for their money. This is a must read.
“Strength isn’t measurable.”
