A runaway bride gets drunk in a bar, and saved by a bear shifter. What a way to grab a reader’s attention! Blackstone Ranger Chief is a great start to a new series from Alicia Montgomery. This is my first book from this author but it won’t be my last. For me personally, I love listening to short and sweet shapeshifter romance novels. It’s like eating your favorite comfort food. I thoroughly enjoyed Montgomery’s writing style and storyline. I thought the story was imaginative, creative, and cleverly plotted. The romance was a slow burn, making the love match very heart-warming. This audiobook had the perfect amount of suspense, drama, intrigue, lust, and angst. I adore the strong community ties and friendships Blackstone offers. This was a fun listen and I look forward to continuing with this series!

Tara Langella was cast perfectly as the narrator. She embraced the characters and plot, making for an entertaining listen. She set the perfect tone for the story and superbly embraced the characters emotions.
