This is an honest review for an ALC received.

OMG, I love this book so much! I was only a couple of chapters into the audiobook when I knew it would be a 5-star listen. This is my first read/listen from Ella James. She wrote a story that is captivating and brilliant! Burke and June very tragically lose their siblings. June becomes the guardian over their 2 children, Margot and Oliver, and brings them from their home in San Francisco to the farm in Georgia that she and her sister grew up on. In walks the cocky, over-achieving millionaire Burke Matheson, and he wants them. He doesn’t think this country girl with a dying farm can give the kids what they’re used to and vows to bring them back to the city where they belong. Burke is determined to win over the kids and convince June they would be better off in California with him. But June is not about to let that happen.

Burke and June-Bug are LIFE! Hate You Not was funny, sweet, honest, moving, and hopelessly romantic. A beautiful journey through loss, love, finding yourself, and finding your HEA. June is everything you’d expect from a good southern girl and more. Sassy and classy in the cutest package. She’s the dream girl every guy wants. Both she and Burke are determined and hard-working. Burke is boyfriend goals. First you have a rich and sexy beast of man. Then on top of that he is charismatic, caring, funny, resourceful, and intense. That man aims to please. And boy does he please! Theirs was a slow burn with intense sexual chemistry that will have you fanning yourself. Ella James really knows how to write steamy scenes! She wrote a perfect story with memorable characters. She even made the animals memorable and loveable. The antics and banter will have you laughing out loud. The 2 kids are amazing. They bring out the best in Burke and June. The character development was excellent. The side characters were memorable and added to the storyline. The plot was clever as well as well-planned and written. Someone please contact Passionflix because this needs to be made into a movie NOW! Ella James, you are now officially on my “one-click authors” list.

The narration by Zachary Webber and Eva Erickson was perfection. When bloggers talk about an audiobook having great flow, this is the type of narration they are referring to. Their voices, pacing and tones fit the characters perfectly and brought the story to life. It was easy to hear the emotional connection the narrators had with their characters. I would strongly recommend listening to this book versus print because Zachary and Eva’s work made the story even more magical.
