The Romantic Pact (Kings of Football Book 2) by Meghan Quinn

This is an honest review for an arc received.

Please open your eyes and see the bigger world through a wider lens.

Hazel Allen is Crew’s childhood best friend that has grown up on his grandfather’s farm. She’s had a harder life, but she’s loved and accepted by Pops, Crew’s grandfather and taught life long lessons. She receives an unexpected gift of traveling to Germany with a mystery travel buddy. She’s hoping in her heart of hearts it’s Crew. But how will she react when something she loves is in jeopardy? Will she learn to live outside of her comfort zone and trust in someone besides herself and Pops?

“If you don’t measure up to the boy I used to know, then I want a refund.”

Crew Smith was the star quarterback who’s just suffered not only his worst season playing football but he’s also grieving the loss of his beloved grandfather Pops. When he’s sent on an unexpected vacation to Germany, he’s given a chance to reconnect with Hazel all thanks to his Pops. But will he follow the path that his heart is trying to lead him down or will he let expectations take control?

“When you sow love, joy will grow.”

5 freaking Herbert Hoover stars! Meghan Quinn slayed this book. It has everything from childhood best friends reconnecting, to a whimsical journey of self discovery, learning to deal with love and loss and truly finding out your path in life. I love the fact that every location in this book is an actual town in Germany. Oh man do I want to travel the Romantic Road just to relive Crew and Hazel’s amazing journey. This book has all of the feels from laughter, banter, tears, swooning and a heartfelt journey of two people who were always meant to be together. I never wanted this book to end.

“Relationships are about give and take, the good and the bad, and working out problems together, not pushing them further and further away and trying to do it on your own.”
