The Revenge Pact (Kings of Football Book 1) by Ilsa Madden-Mills

This is an honest review for an arc received.

“In the end, we only regret the things we didn’t do…”

Anastasia Bailey is a special sort of girl. Because of her parents, she’s experienced more things in her short life than most people her age would in a lifetime. A college student at a traditional college, she’s found her niche. Attentive boyfriend, great friends and interesting people she considers family. The only person she can’t seem to impress is River Tate. But there’s always been something about him that calls to her. When he needs help on his final Lit paper, she sees him in a different light. When he comes to her rescue, all bets are off.

“You took me to the sunrise. I bring you the stars.”

River Tate, star wide receiver, President of Kappa fraternity and all around good guy . He’s athletic and tattooed, has a big heart, and swears loyalty to his frat brothers. He’s experienced all of the highs and lows of being a college athlete. But when he first sees Anastasia he’s instantly drawn to her. When a fellow frat brother calls “dibs” on her, he does the recon and tells him how to get the girl. But what happens when the secrets he keeps closely guarded comes to light and is discovered by none other than the girl he can never have, will he give in to his desires?

“There’s an Eskimo legend that says they aren’t stars at all, but openings where our loved ones watch us.”

5 swoon-worthy stars! Ilsa Madden-Mills throws a Hail Mary with this story! You can’t help but cheer for River & Anastasia. These two characters are golden. I loved this story and devoured it in 1 day! If you’re looking for a new loveable alpha male, with a sweet and sassy heroine, this book is for you.
