The Not-Outcast by Tijan

This is an honest review for an arc received.

“You just got a visitor’s pass, but trust me, you don’t want a permanent residency.”

Cheyenne Bailey has had a very rough life. All she’s ever wanted was for someone to truly see her and love her. Flaws and all. When tragic things happen in her young life, she’s bounced around between a father that she’s never known and her Uncle. Even after everything that she’s been through, she is successful in her adult life. She’s hoping that she’s broken the cycle. Until she sees the one person she’s always thought truly saw her. Cut Ryder.

“Please don’t love me and throw me away.”

Cutler “Cut” Ryder has everything he always thought he wanted, a star hockey player, a great team that has a shot at the Cup, his family and his best friend. When a chance meeting brings forth feelings he’s never had for anyone, can he be the man that Cheyenne needs? Will her issues cause irreparable damage to a friendship he’s had for his entire life?

“I love you because you’re the strongest person I know.”

Wow! This book is 5 heart wrenching stars. Tijan has an amazing gift for telling stories where her characters deal with heartbreaking tragedy or personal trials and tribulations, but their inner strength helps them persevere. You can’t help but fall in love with Cheyenne and her quest for happiness. Although she has a debilitating issue, she never lets that hold her back. You have to admire that! She never let her circumstances define her. And Cut, well get ready to swoon over a new hot alpha male character. He’s everything !!!! From his determination to figure out Cheyenne, to his ability to give her the stability that she’s longed for. He sees her for her, and shows her that he’s willing to fight for her and her love. I know that this review is a little vague, but I don’t want to spoil any of the awesomeness of this story. Tijan – this story was everything!
