This is an honest review for an arc received.
“You have a certain reputation for bringing the little death, Romeo.”
Eden De Rossi has loved Romeo Sinacore for her entire life. Daughter of a made man in the Bartollo family, she grew up in the mafia. When her heart is crushed by Romeo and pushed into the arms of another man will she survive? Will her heart ever belong to her future husband, or will it always belong to Romeo? When a major event in her life happens, all of a sudden Romeo is back and has inserted himself back into her life. But secrets can be deadly. Eden has kept a major secret for the past 6 years.
“The hardest thing I’ve ever done in all my life is let you go. Please…forgive me…”
Romeo Sinacore, underboss of the Sinacore family, is a hitman. His specialty is sleeping with the enemy, and taking them out in one fell swoop. He’s always known his heart beat only for Eden, but being in the family business, he knew he could never have her. So he pushed her to the one man he trusted. But when trust is broken, and the ones he loves are threatened, he will stop at nothing to ensure their safety. Even if it means being the cause of Eden’s biggest heartache.
“Because I’m a sinner, stumbling, bleeding into the garden of Eden, it’s the only place I find my salvation…In you.”
5 addictive stars! I will say that I was worried about a co-authored mafia book by two of my favorite Mafia Queens. This story though, flowed so seamlessly. You have no idea who wrote what parts, and that is the beauty of a well written collaboration. M. Robinson and Rachel Van Dyken slayed this book. It has everything that you’ve come to love in this dark, bloody, dirty, and beautiful world. Romeo doesn’t disappoint. He is fiercely loyal to the ones he loves, but the family he represents. Eden has a lot of sass, even as she goes through major heartbreak. Get ready ladies (and gents) for a wild ride. One of my all time favorite collaborations EVER! Blood In. No Out!
“This life, it takes pieces of your soul away, and if you’re not careful you turn into someone you don’t recognize anymore.”
