Between Heaven and Hell by E. L. Irwin

This is an honest review for an arc received.

“Truth is the Key.”

E. L. Irwin has added to her fantastical world in this epic conclusion to Jane and Aurek’s love story. All of our characters, plus some new ones, will bring you on an epic journey. This story embraces the battle between good versus evil, love over hate and your ultimate belief in the King himself.

“I hope you are prepared, young Jane. There are great challenges and sacrifices ahead of you.”

Jane is desperately searching for her Guardian. She will stop at nothing to have him safely returned to her. She will need to find her physical strength as well as her ultimate strength…her faith. Although something truly amazing has happened in her family life, her thoughts are always on Aurek. Jane will move Heaven and Earth to find him and free him from his self-imposed prison.

“A sacrifice is not true without a cost,” The King said gently. “Fear not child. I am your shield now; I go with you and before you, and will bring you to a great reward.”

Aurek has been suffering his own personal hell. But that was his sacrifice to save his love. Even though he could free himself from his prison, he is bound by his honor. Thoroughly and maliciously tormented his love for Jane is what sees him through his darkest times. He knows who still lurks in the darkness, and he will stop at nothing to continue to protect Jane. After a series of unexpected events, Jane and Aurek will face their biggest challenge.

“It is I who am unworthy of you. It is I who am in awe of you. It is I who is incapable of functioning without you.”

Would you give up everything to be with the one person who completes you body and soul? What would your ultimate sacrifice be? Can everyone be redeemed?

“It is you…Who has utterly enthralled and captivated me, you who is my everything.”

5 heavenly stars!!!! I was lucky enough to receive this arc after reading and reviewing the first book. E. L. Irwin, the magical world you created was so detailed it was like I was walking and fighting right beside Jane. These characters (all of them) are beautifully developed and you can’t help but fall in love with them. You will cheer them on, you will feel all of the emotions, you will believe that as long as you have faith you can accomplish anything. Thank you E. L. Irwin for such a magical, heart felt story. The ultimate sacrifice gutted me, but Jane’s perspective was awe-inspiring. Her faith never waivered.
