This is an honest review for an arc received.
“Well, that’s going to make me try to make you mine a bit harder, but I’m not one to shy away from doing the work when it comes to getting what I want.”
Savvy Sutton is a head-strong, attitude wielding, feminist. She hates the entitlement that many of her classmates seems to have. Although she puts Patrick in that same class, he quickly shows her that just because you have money, that money doesn’t make the man. When Tricks inserts himself into her life, will she be able to resist him?
“I’ll never lie to you, so truth? I like the way you react to me. I like the way you look at me.”
Patrick “Tricks” Steel is a natural born protector. Even though this makes up a lot of his character, he also believes that sometimes you need to fight your own battles. He is instantly taken with the sassy, attitude giving barista. Tricks proves to Savvy that not all men are bad, and that given the chance he will be someone she can depend on. When a turn of events happen to Savvy, will Tricks be the man she needs him to be?
“Only girl I’ve ever said I love you to, only girl I’ll ever love. Only girl I want forever with.”
5 absolutely amazing stars!! I’ve waited for Tricks’ book since this series started. Savvy gave him a run for his money. I love the dynamic between the two. You see Tricks amazing heart, confidence and his never back down attitude. Savvy was lost in a way, not knowing who she really was. He helps her understand herself in so many ways. I love how even after the events that rattled Savvy, their love never died. Bravo MJ Fields! I thought Justice would be a tough act to follow, but Patrick just stole the spotlight. #foreversteel #steelcrew
“Makes perfect sense. Sometimes, I need music, and sometimes, I need lyrics.”
