This is an honest review for an ARC received.
This is book 3 in author A. L. Jackson’s Falling Stars Series and is a second chance romance. Richard and Violet have so much hate, love and hope for each other, that this book jumps right in to.
“A broken heart cannot heal when it’s being crushed.”
I instantly connected with Violet. She is a loving mother to 6 year old, Daisy, while running her family’s business. Although she is still devastated from events that 6 years prior, Richard will always be the love of her life. She is tasked by her ill mother to find her sister that has been gone for just as long, she mistaken falls into the drama (and danger) that Richard fought so hard to keep her out of.
“Remember, open your heart and your mind to all the beautiful, amazing things out there waiting for you.”
Richard, guitarist, singer and song writer, left town with his friends and band mates when they were signed for a record deal. With Violet by his side, he never imagined the music industry to be so dark and manipulating. When he leaves Violet, for her own protection, he works tirelessly with his future brother-in-law Royce to right wrongs and save the innocent victims.
A family secret comes to life and threatens to rip away Richard and Violet’s future. Can they overcome all of the secrets?
“Every dream I have is one I want to give you.”
This book was angsty with some romance thrown in. I love how Mrs. Jackson develops each character. You will get sucked in to story where you will feel all of the different range of emotions that each of the characters feel. From pure bliss and happiness, to the dark despair, to the fear of losing everything important to you. I give this book a solid 4 1/2 stars!
Until Next Time…Read On!
