Hard to Handle (The Play Hard Series, Book 1) by K. Bromberg

“Make what used to be your curse, now be your blessing.”

If your looking for a second chance romance, enemies to lovers story, drop what you’re doing and pick up this book. It has everything, literally everything! You will laugh, cry, want to strangle these characters, and fan yourself with the hot, passion these two strong willed people have towards each other.

Dekker Kincade is a sports agent at her family’s firm. She is tasked with recruiting hot-headed, NHL star, Hunter Maddox. Dekker is a strong willed woman, who runs from love and commitment. Her and Hunter had a no-strings attached romance years ago, that she’s never gotten over.

“Giving half a heart is akin to giving someone a broken heart…so give them your whole one instead.”

Hunter Maddox is an NHL star, that is harboring some dark secrets. While playing some of his best hockey, and his team being on the verge of their first ever playoff birth for the Stanley Cup, he doesn’t realize that he is burned out. After a hot encounter with Dekker in a park, Hunter realizes just how much she quiets his thoughts.

Can Dekker let go of her past and stop running away from the one she loves? Can Hunter finally overcome his demons, and allow himself happiness? Well my friends, you’ll have to read this book to find out.

“Falling for someone is never the plan. One day, you just wake up and it’s there in full-freaking high-definition color.”

I love HEAs and this book definitely has that, but its the growth of the characters, and them learning that sometimes you just have to accept that things are they way that they were meant to be. To live life for yourself, and to step out into the sunshine and keep away from the shadows. It’s about finding your person, that makes life worth living.

This is one of my favorite reads of 2020. A 5 star AMAZING reads. K. Bromberg crashes the goal with this book. I can’t wait to read the next book of this series.

Until Next Time…Read On!
