Blocked (Boston Terries Hockey Book #3) by Jacob Chance

This is an honest review for an arc received.

Maddie Winters has been crushing on her brother Marshall’s best friend, Shaw Masters for a long time. He’s her first love even though she knows he will never look at her like that. When they finally hang out, the summer after her high school graduation, things are amazing and the chemistry is definitely there. But, Shaw is tasked with the one thing that could break them apart…telling his best friend he’s interested in his little sister.

Shaw Masters, goalie for the Boston U Terriers hockey team, has seen Maddie grow up from a cute little girl, to a beautiful young woman. But the night he decides he’s going to tell her brother about their relationship, a misunderstanding takes place, that ends their brief relationship. Maddie is hurt, and breaks things off, without giving Shaw a chance to explain.

Fast forward 18 months. Maddie is finally at Boston U where she’s always wanted to be. The only downside, is now running into Shaw, and all of the feelings for him she thought she was over are beginning to resurface. Shaw is determined to get back the friendship he lost and he will not loose Maddie again. He’s out to prove to her, and her brother, that they belong together. Shaw is pretty cunning when it comes to ways he gets Maddie to hang out again, which will make you swoon and cheer for him.

I give this book a solid 4.5 stars. I absolutely loved that you get to see the character growth, not only from the characters on an individual basis, but from a couple stand point as well . This was a great coming of age story, with characters you can’t help but root for. You can never go wrong with a feel good book, and this book has all of the feels!

Until Next Time…Read On!
