Holy cow! I’m literally, almost at a loss for words trying to figure out what I’m going to put in this review. Ok, deep breath…here goes nothing.
You are immediately sucked right into this story. Caitlin Ashford is a daughter, wife and mother who is currently working at her family’s pawn shop. She is celebrating a sweet award her daughter received at school earlier that day, when tragedy strikes.
What do you do when the unthinkable happens? When all that you love gets ripped away in the blink of an eye? When the police and justice system are corrupt and you realize that you will never find the justice you deserve? You take matters into your own hands and seek your own revenge. Caitlin has waited a long time to deliver her justice. She’s trained with the best, relies on her strength and resiliency, and never expects to meet a stranger in a bar, that will spark feelings she thought were lost long ago. In her world, you can’t trust anyone. Is he the enemy too?
Hunter, is a mystery man. Hired hit man for the Dixie Mafia, what he least expects is to come across a woman in a bar that makes him feel like he is loosing focus on his current assignment. He needs to stay focused to find out who has been taking out members of the Dixie Mafia.
This story is gut wrenching, and you feel every emotion Caitlin does. Her strength is unwavering, her mission is almost complete. The chemistry between Caitlin and Hunter is undeniable.
“Live a great story. Life’s too short to give up before The End.” This quote hits you right in the feels and sums up this book perfectly.
This was the first book I’ve read from RC Boldt, but it will not be the last.
I give this 5 amazing stars!!!!!! This is a must read!!!
