Kate Golden is a lingerie designer with a boutique in Los Angeles and London. When her London boutique is in danger of closing, a photo spread in a famous magazine should help boost sales, right? The only problem is the magazine insists that Kate models her own designs for the photo shoot.
Drew Blake is a fashion photographer, bad boy playboy and a billionaire to boot. Although he is the youngest son of a high profile family in London, his escape is his photography.
When these two have an awkward first (and second) encounter, imagine their surprise when they are paired together for the photo shoot. Can Kate actually model her designs, when she is in no way a model? Can Drew be professional while photographing Kate? This is just one amazing part of this book (actually in the beginning). The chemistry between these characters is very smooth, and not rushed. They develop well during the course of this story and the chemistry between them can’t be denied. Drew’s mantra for them is to be “Just Kate and Just Drew.” I love how this encourages, and reminds them to stay true to themselves.
Although Mrs. Aksel is a new author to me, I will definitely be reading more of her books in the near future. This series is based on Drew and his two brothers Kent and Mick. I’m intrigued to read their stories. This is a quick, light-hearted read that will have you smiling at the end.
I give this book 4.5 stars!!!!! Loved It!
Until next time, Read On!
