A Secret for a Secret by Helena Hunting

Oh holy Boy Scouts y’all have to meet Ryan Kingston!!

What happens when straight laced, rules following, milk drinking, NHL goalie falls finds out that his family kept a major secret from him?  Well he gets drunk for the first time since his teenage years, and meets a girl at a bar.  Of course, they go home together and he thinks he will never see her again.

Enter Queenie Masterson, daughter of the GM of the NHL team in Seattle, who is trying to figure out her life.  She decides to move into her father’s guest house and work as his assistant.  When Ryan & Queenie realize they were each other’s one-night stand, things get awkward.

When the two start spending time together, as friends, the term opposites attract comes to mind.  There chemistry is apparent from the get go.  He is calm and orderly, while she is like a tornado coming through.  Utter chaos.  When Ryan decides he wants to date her, he goes to her father and asks for permission.  I mean how can you say no to someone like that.  You can’t!!!

As this story progresses you can see the personal growth and confidence develop in Queenie all because of how Ryan boosts her up every chance he gets.

This book was so entertaining and heartwarming.  I give this book 5 stars!!!!

Until Next Time…Read On!
