Ruthless Princess (Mafia Royals – Book 1) by Rachel Van Dyken

This is an honest review for an ARC received.

OMG!!  Finally we get the kids of the famous 5 mafia families.  This is book one of Mrs. Van Dyken’s Mafia Royals, which is a spin-off to her original Eagle Elite series.  This book is a stand alone. She does offer a “Who’s who” in the beginning so that you know who all of the players are.

I’ve been patiently waiting on this book.  It is action packed right from the get go.  If you’ve read the Eagle Elite series, you know just how ruthless all of the parents are.  I mean they live (and die) by the mantra, Blood In, No Out.  If you haven’t read the Eagle Elite series, no worries, the kids are, in my opinion, more ruthless than their parents.  Everything in their life revolves around the families.  Blood oath and all.

Serena Abandonato, is the future Queen of the Abandonato family.  She is her father, I mean he is her hero and best friend.  But does family trump the love she has for Junior Nicolasi?  The began as best friends, then they became lovers and the loves of each others’ lives.  But what happens when family intervenes are turns you against each other?  What happens when you force yourself to believe his lies, because if you don’t it would destroy you? Well, you become a Ruthless Princess.

Junior Nicolasi, is the heir to the Nicolasi family.  He inherited the sins of his father, but is secretly in love with Serena.  He will do what needs to be done, even at the cost of his heart. But what happens when you believe the person, you trusted above all, never trusted you the way you trusted her?  The constant battles, the fighting, the  sexual tension and his memories is all he has.  He never meant to hurt Serena, but outing their relationship was not an option, unless they both wanted to die.

“My love doesn’t matter, not when you have my trust. You’re like the keeper of souls, Serena, you keep mine safe, just like I keep yours safe.What use is love when we have that?”

But when the infamous white horse is sent to the bosses all hell breaks loose.

I give this book 5 (million)  amazing stars!!!!!!  This book is a must read!!!  If you haven’t read Eagle Elite, maybe this will be the beginning to them all.  One-Click this bad boy today.  Rachel Van Dyken – you’ve knocked this book so far out of the park its crazy!
