Falling Into Us by Jasinda Wilder – Book 2 in the Falling series

“That’s what courage is you know: being afraid and doing what you have to do anyway.”
I absolutely adore Jason and Becca’s story! Their first date was very unconventional but oh so sweet. They weren’t just high school sweethearts, but best friends. They are each other’s first and last loves. It was great to watch them grow up and mature together as individuals and with their relationship. Even through tragedies and hardships, these two had each other’s backs no matter what. They both grew stronger individually and as a couple. Jason is so patient and caring with Becca. And Becca would do anything for Jason. Jason has a rough home life but uses it to build his character and potential. It takes a strong man to go through the things Jason has and come out good and successful. Becca is very self-driven but struggles with her stuttering and with pleasing her dad. With Jason by her side and with her own determination, she of course succeeds in everything she hopes to. They are both perfect and strong, yet full of flaws. Don’t get me started on Jasinda Wilder’s ability to write sex scenes. Lawd have mercy, can that woman write the sexy scenes ever! I enjoyed reading the other perspective of Kyle and Nell. To see what others could see from the outside looking in. It added a wonderful touch for fans of the first book.
While this can be read as a standalone, I strongly suggest reading book 1 so you can appreciate the whole story.
Synopsis:
When Kyle Calloway died, he took a part of Nell with him. She wasn’t the only one left to pick up the pieces, however; Kyle’s death left a gaping hole in the hearts and lives of his parents and his older brother Colton, and ultimately broke the will of the girl he loved.
THE STORY YOU NEVER IMAGINED…
Becca de Rosa is Nell’s best friend. When Kyle died, Nell was so devastated that no one could reach her, not even her best friend Becca. As she tries to help Nell through her grief, Becca’s own life is thrust into turmoil, and everything she knows is changed. Jason Dorsey asked Nell out the week after her sixteenth birthday, but that date never happened. Instead, he ended up going out with Nell’s best friend, Becca. He had no way of knowing, then, how that one date would send him on a life-long journey with Becca. He had no way of knowing the tragedies and triumphs he would experience, or that in Becca, he might find the love of a lifetime.
“My motivation in life was to be a good enough man for her, worthy of her awesomeness.”
