Every great hockey team needs a great Power Play.
The first time Posey Adler decides to take a chance on love and goes for the guy of her dreams, she comes home devastated and humiliated. She ignored all of those close to her that tried to warn her that her feelings were one sided, but she didn’t listen. So how does one attempt to pick herself up and move on with her life? She accepts a position as an assistant special teams coach for the Nashville Assassins. Posey has been designing power plays all of her life, and knows that this is her chance to step out of her older sister, Shelli’s shadow. But she needs to improve the Assassins power play that she thinks is slowed down by Boon Hoenes.
Boon Hoenes is an amazing hockey player, and loves being on the power play squad. Boon is recently dumped by his cheating fiancee and decides to take break. When Boon meets the new special teams assistant things get really heated, really fast. She pushes his play and when he realizes that she wants to replace him on the power play things get really heated between the two. Soon the pair can’t deny the attraction they have towards one another.
I love every couple Toni Aleo has ever introduced into the Assassins world. Each couple struggles with real world problems, that only love and understanding can help conquer. Posey is an amazing character. Boon is great helping Posey understand her worth. Together they bring out the best in each other.
Being a reader of the Assassins books from the beginning, its great that now we get to see the kids come into their own. Each story is a stand alone, but you would be selling yourself short not to start at the very beginning.
Looking forward to many more books on this group in the future.
I give this book 5 stars.
Until Next Time…Read On!
