Alcoholics, liars, cheating, secrets, jealousy, murder… there is not one person in this book that you can trust. Which keeps you guessing until the end. There are not many books that I can’t guess the ending at least half way through. But in this one, I couldn’t. I’d been wanting to read it before watching the movie. So glad that I did. The movie was great but of course it didn’t hold a candle to the emotional roller coaster of this psychological thriller! If you’re a fan of Gone Girl, do yourself a favor and read this book. One review on Goodreads read “Everyone in this book is absolutely terrible, and as a result, this book is a masterpiece in character study and development.” (Wendy Darling 1/06/2015) I couldn’t have said it better myself!
“I have lost control over everything, even the places in my head.”
5 Fast paced and engrossing stars!
Synopsis
Rachel catches the same commuter train every morning. She knows it will wait at the same signal each time, overlooking a row of back gardens. She’s even started to feel like she knows the people who live in one of the houses. “Jess and Jason,” she calls them. Their life—as she sees it—is perfect. If only Rachel could be that happy. And then she sees something shocking. It’s only a minute until the train moves on, but it’s enough. Now everything’s changed. Now Rachel has a chance to become a part of the lives she’s only watched from afar. Now they’ll see; she’s much more than just the girl on the train…
