Religion and mental instability

My review on January 7th:  I can’t even. I’ve lost the ability to even.

Idk if I want to hug Tarryn Fisher or smack her.  Definitely feeling too many feels right now and am questioning everything.  Tarryn, I hate/love you so much right now.

My review after I’ve had a week to breath…

I’ve read 6 books by Tarryn Fisher and 3 that she co-wrote with Colleen Hoover.  Tarryn is a brilliant story teller, to say the least.  How she comes up with ideas is beyond me!

Synopsis

Thursday’s husband, Seth, has two other wives. She’s never met them, and she doesn’t know anything about them. She agreed to this unusual arrangement because she’s so crazy about him.  But one day, she finds something. Something that tells a very different—and horrifying—story about the man she married.  What follows is one of the most twisted, shocking thrillers you’ll ever read.  You’ll have to grab a copy to find out why.

“We busy ourselves trying not to be lonely, trying to find purpose in careers, and lovers, and children, but at any moment, those things we work so hard to possess could be taken from us.”

The mind-f**k contained in this book – I still can’t even.  The ending had a twist I never could’ve imagined.  This book leaves you questioning everything.  Who am I? Where am I? Why am I? Who did I marry? Am I alive? Am I awake? Who’s the hero/heroine? Who’s lying an who’s telling the truth? Where are my pants?  Who bit off all my nails? The Wives hooks you in on the first page and keeps your mind going with a fast-paced, unwavering and exciting story. The further you read, the darker the story becomes.  There are multiple wives, pregnancies, a dog, and a giant tool and asshole husband in the middle.  Everyone lies in this book.  Everyone.  Trust no one. Doubt everyone. Be ready for a surprise ending!

“It’s all too perfect, I think. When things are that perfect, something is wrong.”

5 twisted-mind f**k-confused-perplexed-thriller stars!
