We first meet Grant Malone and Emerson “Emmy” Reeves while they are in 3rd grade. Emmy thought Grant was her best friend and told him a secret and made him pinky promise not to tell. Once Grant tells, Emmy tells him that she hates him and never wants to see him again.

Fast forward 20 years, Emmy is now a strong and confident woman trying to take over the jump school. Grant is a police officer in the town they grew up in. When their paths cross, Emmy runs away trying to leave Grant firmly in her past. Grant is determined to get their friendship back.

But can they can’t ignore the history and chemistry they seem to have with one another. Will Emmy allow her past to dictate her future or will she take a chance on Grant? Can Grant get Emmy to trust him again?

I loved this book! Gotta say K. Bromberg is one of my favorite authors.
